How to Download Video from AliExpress

You can use various extensions to download product videos from AliExpress. 

Method 1: Using AliSave

The AliSave chrome extension is one of the easiest ways to download AliExpress product images and videos to your computer. Here is how to use it:

Step 1

The first thing you want to do is install the extension, which you can do by navigating to the chrome web store and typing in “AliEpxress” or AliSave.

Step 2

Once you have the extension installed and integrated with your browser, navigate to the product page —the AliExpress video you want to download. 

In this example, we shall attempt to download an actual product video of the Kitchen Self-adhesive Spice Organizer Rack Seasoning Bottle Storage Rack Under Desk Drawer Hidden Kitchen Supplies Storage.

Step 3

After landing on the product page, look around to determine if it has a video. In most cases, products with a video illustration usually place it first, and you don’t have to look far to find it.

After installing the AliSave extension, it should automatically integrate the option to download images and product videos to your browser:

If you click on the option, AliSave will automatically download all the product images and a text file indicating the product name and link. 

To download all images and videos, you will need to upgrade to the pro version, which costs $2.99 per month.

Although using AliSave to download product videos requires a subscription, some of its benefits are downloading into subfolders, removing metadata, downloading all images and videos in one click, and downloading from Alibaba, to mention a few.

Method 2: Using the “Download Aliexpress Product Images & Videos”

If you would rather not pay that $2.99 monthly subscription to use AliSave, you can use the free-to-use “Download Aliexpress product images & videos” extension.

Here’s how to do it:

Step 1

The first thing you have to do is add the extension to your browser, which is pretty straightforward because all you have to do is navigate to the Chrome web store —you can also click on the link above to get to the store (if you are using Chrome as your browser).

Step 2

After installing the extension, it automatically extends your browser capabilities by adding a download button to all AliExpress product pages.

Step 3

Once you hit the button to download “main images,” the extension will work in the background to download all the media attached to the product. 

It will then download the media as a .zip file and save everything—in a folder—in your default download location. 

If you open the .zip folder, you should see all images and videos downloaded by the extension. 

All you have to do now is extract everything for use.

Method 3: Using Video Downloader Plus

Video Downloader Plus is your best bet if you only want to download product videos from AliExpress. 

Besides being one of the fastest ways to download AliExpress videos, Video Downloader Plus also has several handy options, like downloading multiple versions of the same video —4K, SD, or HD—and downloading MP4, FLV,  MPG, and MOV files, to mention a few. The extension also shows you the video file.

Here’s how to use it to download videos from AliExpress:

Step 1

Because this is an extension, the first thing you will have to do is install it, which, fortunately, is pretty straightforward: search for the extension and hit the add button to install it on Google Chrome. 

Step 2

Once you have the extension installed, the next step is to navigate to the product page. Once on the product page, Video Downloader Plus badge will be blue if the page has a video:

From here, all you have to do is click on the option to download the video you want; the higher the video size, the higher the quality.

NOTE: In some cases, instead of downloading the video directly to your downloads folder, VDP may navigate you to an online video player. If that happens, all you have to do is right-click on the video and choose the “save video as” option. The default player even has a download option.

Besides downloading AliExpress videos using extensions, you can also do it faster using the old-fashioned inspect element option available on Chrome—and most other browsers.

If you like tinkering around in code or seeing how things work behind the scene, you can use the source code option to download videos from AliExpress. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1

Once you’re on an AliExpress product page from which you would like to download a video, right-click on the video to call up the “inspect element” option. You can also use the shortcut CTRL +SHIFT + I —or CMD + Option + J on Mac.

Step 2

Once you have the inspect element console open, the next step is to search for a .mp4 extension link. The easiest way to do this is to hit CTRL +F—or CMD +F on Mac—to call up the search feature. 

On the search box, type “.mp4” and hit enter to see all the content with the “.mp4” on the page. Chrome may even highlight these files, making it easier to find the link.

Step 3

After finding the link to the video, all you have to do now is highlight it, then right-click on the highlighted text to open it up in a new browser tab. Doing will automatically download the video to your downloads folder. 

NOTE: Instead of downloading the video automatically, you may also land on a video page, and the video will start playing. In that case, all you have to do is right-click and “save video as.” You can also use the “download video” option attached to the online video player.

That’s it; you will have the AliExpress product video downloaded to your computer, ready for importation to your dropshipping storefront.
